Our experience, the skills and technological innovation gained over the years, enable us to offer a complete service from design and manufacturing to the delivery of the mould.

Design

Based on the customers’ mathematical specifications, our designers draw up the mould required for the creation of the desired product. This is a very creative phase, in which the technical solutions needed to ensure the (functional and aesthetic) quality of detailed parts, according to required parameters and production cycle turn-around times taking into account any delays, are studied.

Prototyping

The realization of prototype moulds takes place by means of various technologies and materials, depending on their use. Sometimes in production feasibility checks of the dimensions of more complex parts are carried out, or mechanical or compatibility tests with subsequent processing and verification of mechanical assembly and/or resistance are required. Prototype moulds are normally not used for automated production and are made of materials that guarantee limited runs.

Machine Processing

This is the stage in which the mould is created after having been drawn up by our design team. In this phase, all the components necessary for the assembling and mounting are created in order to obtain a fully functional and operational mould. Automated CNC machinery such as milling machines, lathes, wire and sinker type electro-erosion machines are used.

Bench Processing

In this phase the initial design idea begins to take shape, having been reduced to hundreds of mechanically machined components. With the help of just a few manual tools, our skilled workmen, with their passion for precision mechanics and mental flexibility, that leads to them following each phase of the machinery’s operation right down to the turn of the very last screw, hand-assemble and adjust each individual component, creating a mould that is fine tuned for millions of production cycles.

Testing

The complexity of the mould system often requires its components to be size and quality certified. With the aid of specific laboratory instruments, the testing department verifies and approves individual components after various processing stages. The mould is then production tested, and the components are analyzed in order to ensure that they fulfill customer requirements in terms of size, aesthetics and processing.

Order Management

Innovation Mould has implemented a Multi Project Management System for sharing Web Based Knowledge. The process of developing and producing a new product/project is in itself a process involving various corporate entities. Coordinating the various activities is at times complex because in the vast the majority of cases, it involves long term business relationships determining a particular sequence of execution.
